Wordless Wedneday

*I can't figure out how to get my pics bigger. Tried clicking large and uploading the original, but it wouldn't work...so I have to compress the image and then selected large...and it still isn't much bigger.

Oops! This was supposed to be wordless! ;o)

Things I Love Thursday

Yes, I am stealing blog ideas. Today's thing I love: Grewsome Drewsome!
My big brother's birthday is tomorrow, so why not talk about him?
Andrew Wayne Paxton was born on April 23, 1983. He was my dad's birthday present that year...so that was cool.
Drew is one of the most unique (truly) individuals any one could ever be blessed to know. My description of him always goes into his personality, his eleventy billion hobbies....and I always end it with "he's kind of a modern day renaissance man." If you know him, I'm sure you'd agree.
I honestly don't think I could have asked for a better brother or friend. He always has just the right thing to say or do to make you feel better, he'll make you laugh, even at his own expense. Actually, he'll make you laugh especially at his own expense. I miss him so much and can't wait to see him this summer. I am realizing how hard it is to put into words how much he means to me. So Drew...I want you to know that you are one of THE most important people in my life, and I am so blessed to be your little shitter.
Happy Birthday! Love, Gerdifer

*I searched for quite a while and there were more of these types of pictures than I knew what to do with...so enjoy!

*I really really tried to find a decent one!

At last...a good one! ;o)

Sick in Shanghai

Being sick in a foreign country, especially China, is the pits. Well, ok, being sick anywhere is the pits. Being sick and not having access to wonderful drugs such as mucinex and sudafed is really the pits. This is one of the few times that my sinus infection/chest crap is accompanied by a fever. It was up to 101 yesterday, which is so unusual for me. I am hoping I can kick this stupid thing soon...it is really more inconvenient than anything. It is also pretty hard to sneak past the morning ayi's that take your temperature before entering school...but I managed to do so! I am so sneaky! Now if this week can just end soon, I'll be good.
We're having our WASC visit this week, which is a little more than stressful when I am sick and don't have so much energy to teach/think straight. But, the show must go on...or something.
Anyway...so my mom was just out here, and it was such a good time. I'm so glad she got to come. If I actually knew how to upload pictures to this thing, I would...but I just haven't taken the time to learn. I will soon and then have a nice blog full of pictures from her visit.
So for now, miss and love you guys...blog to ya soon!
